CCS has experienced significant growth during the past several years. In response to our increasing need to identify and hire a talented group of fundraising professionals, we are looking to fill a new position – Associate Director of Recruitment, Central United States.

Understanding the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated team member to help us develop and implement a proactive recruitment strategy in the Central United States region of our firm. The focus of this role will be on building and managing a diverse pipeline of candidates for our fundraising consultant positions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead in the development and implementation of a heightened regional recruitment strategy, including an intentional focus on furthering CCS's DEI goals
  • Serve as a regional extension of the CCS firm-wide recruitment strategy and processes, building and coordinating practices that ensure alignment of regional and corporate goals
  • Identifying, activating, and managing recruiting partnerships with leading regional universities, professional associations, and other potential candidate sources
  • Identifying, attending, and coordinating necessary logistics for events to build the CCS brand within our target markets
  • Developing and facilitating presentations at CCS recruiting events
  • Proactively networking within the nonprofit development and recruiting space; joining industry groups and other organizations to develop and maintain a robust network of industry colleagues and peers
  • Leveraging digital recruiting tools, including LinkedIn recruiter and managing all regional job board postings
  • Identifying and tracking recruiting performance indicators to evaluate which strategies are successful
  • Conducting informational interviews and candidate conversations, as appropriate
  • Activating and supporting Central U.S. leadership and fundraising consultants in the recruiting process, as appropriate


Outstanding candidates bring experience in recruiting, a commitment and passion for service-based organizations, and ambition to succeed in a rewarding career. Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record in sourcing and attracting top talent
  • A passion for diversity, equity and inclusion, and a focus on finding ways to incorporate DEI into the hiring process
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including a demonstrated ability to tailor messages appropriately by audience
  • Ability to build new processes that result in streamlined and efficient activity
  • Highest level of integrity and ability to keep information confidential
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously and take direction as needed
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated philanthropic values and commitment to service
  • Working knowledge of the nonprofit sector preferred
  • Experience with JazzHR, LinkedIn Recruiter, or related programs a plus
